We have all heard about the new CPF ruling that is expected to take place effective july this year and though it is only couple of months away, nothing official has been published informing how this new policy will be enforced, only rumours and speculations.

Silence will obviously lead to anxiety among our employees as to how this will impact them and due to this, anxiety is also building up among employers to protect the interests of their employees as well as their business.

In our recently held steering committee meeting on Apr 22^nd, there is a consensus that a special meeting be convened ASAP to gather the views and concerns of GMs/MDs of all member companies under SIP SEA with the objective of raising this matter up formally to the relevant authorities in SIP, highlighting the serious concerns and possibly making recommendations with the hope of averting a labour crisis at worst.
