- Brief introduction
SIP Semiconductor & Electronics Association (referred to as SEA or “GM club”) is a non-profit organization among electronics and semiconductor enterprises located in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and is the largest inter-company communication platform among top management. On May 8th , 2009, it is offically approved by the Bureau of Social Service in SIP and received the related certificates.
In this assocaiton, the companies align together to review the business environment of SIP, discuss common interested topics ranging from Human Resource, logistics, community service and give frequent feedback to government on their regulations and services. The aim is to help build a prosperous industrial park which will let each party achieve long-term development benefits.
- History
In 1999, the club was initiated by AMD (Suzhou) GM Chuck Stiteler, and Chaired the association for 2 years. The 2nd Chairman was Michael Barbalas from Andrew (China); the 3rd one was PC Loh from Spansion (China); The 4th one was NS How from Fairchild (Suzhou);In 2008, Mike Cooper from Rogers Technologies (Suzhou) is nominated as the 5th Chairman; In 2009, Strom Kong from Anaren Communication (Suzhou) is nominated as the 6th Chairman. In 2011, Mr. Hee Ting Wan from Carsem Semiconductor (Suzhou) is nominated as the 7th Chairman. In 2013, Mr JI Hongbin from Powertech Technology (suzhou) is nominated as the 8th Chairman. In 2017, Mr. jiao feng from Shengyi Technology (Suzhou) Co.,Ltd is nominated as the 9th Chairman.
